Glossary

U.S. government body made up of three organizations responsible for ensuring U.S. territory is safe and secure. The organizations involved are United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Together, their missions are to secure and manage borders, and enforce and administer immigration laws. Essentially, they form a gate that regulates the flow of visitors, workers, and immigrants in and out of the United States.
